Torres Strait Island Regional Council (TSIRC) is seeking a Housing Officer to support social housing tenants and applicants. You will provide high quality customer service, tenancy management, and ensure Council policies and procedures are followed.

Based at Mer Island (Division 15), this role is part-time and permanent, 19 hours per week, Monday to Friday. It offers 6 weeks annual leave, additional TSIRC holidays, uniforms, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

About the role:

The Housing Officer plays a key role in supporting Council's social housing tenants and applicants. You will provide high quality customer service and effective tenancy management while ensuring Council's social housing policies and procedures are followed.

Working closely with tenants and community members, you will help maintain sustainable tenancies, assist applicants through the housing process, and contribute to maintaining safe and well-managed housing assets.

As the Housing Officer, you will be responsible for:
