Job summary

Holiday Inn Perth City Centre, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, invites applications for a Housekeeping Team Leader on a part-time basis in Perth, Western Australia. You will work with the Housekeeping Manager and Supervisor to uphold our high cleanliness standards and guest experience.

The role requires prior hotel housekeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel housekeeping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations with the team.
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas are exceptionally clean.
• Onboard and train new team members for a strong start.
• Log any maintenance or property issues promptly.
• Assist with room allocations for shifts and rosters.
• Maintain stock, supplies and linens to reduce waste.
• Handle guest requests, VIPs and repeat visitors with care.
• Check rooms before guest check-in.
• Support deep cleaning projects during busy periods.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering teams.

Position: Housekeeping Team Leader (Part Time)

Do you have exceptional standards? We’re searching for a Housekeeping Team Leaderto work alongside our Housekeeping Manager and Supervisor to ensure all aspects of housekeeping and laundry are befitting of our reputation for delivering genuinely memorable experiences to our guests.

What you will do:

• Assist in monitoring the daily operation of the housekeeping department, including overseeing duties assigned to staff and monitoring the cleanliness of all areas daily.
• Ensuring the highest presentation of our guest rooms and public spaces is upkept and striving to maintain our consistent +80% cleanliness score.
• Assisting with new colleague onboarding and training to ensure they have a great start.
• Reporting/logging any issues or damage to property or maintenance requests.
• Assisting inthe allocation of rooms for the rostered team members on shift.
• Maintaining an accurate inventory of all stock, guest supplies and linens while minimising wastage.
• Addressing special requests for guests, VIPs and repeat visitors.
• Checking rooms prior to being made available for guests.
• Assisting the team with deep cleaning projects and in guest rooms/laundry during busy periods.
• Liaising with Front Office and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous housekeeping experience, ideally in a hotel environment. Previous experience as a Housekeeping Team Leader is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• A willingness to be a team player and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both within your department and with other teams.

• Holds a current police clearance (not older than 6 months).
• Has excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Has the ability to inspire passion, enthusiasm and positivity in the team.
• Has the commitment to deliver an exceptional level of Guest Service and cleanliness.
• Is physically fit and able to meet the physical demands of the job.
• Is available to work a 7-day rotating roster. Weekends and Public Holiday shifts are all part of the job.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia on an ongoing basis. This role is intended as a long-term position and requires a commitment to permanent employment.
