Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to support the Housekeeping Manager and oversee daily resort cleanliness and apartment preparation. You will manage inventories, quality checks, and staff coordination to maintain high standards for guests and owners.

In this hands-on role you’ll ensure efficient operation, allocate workloads, and monitor safety. The ideal candidate embraces hospitality, teamwork, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction and maintenance

Qualifications

• Availability to work flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to manage department budget.
• Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• First Aid Certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with department operations to standard.
• Inspect rooms and common areas regularly.
• Record stock discrepancies and maintain inventories.

Primary Objectives:

At Travel + Leisure our vision is to put the World on Vacation, in your positon as the Housekeeping Supervisor you will be responsible for Ensuring the department operates within budgets and guidelines and to the standard expected by the Company.

Allocates and cleans apartments as necessary to ensure a high standard of resort cleanliness.

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor participates in the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department, specifically preparation and quality checking of all apartments and common areas.

Principal Responsibilities:

• To assist the Housekeeping Manager with the running of the department to the standard expected by the Company
• Inspection of rooms and common areas on a regular basis
• Responsible for monthly inventory of stock report discrepancies to Housekeeper
• Provides exceptional customer service and all requests are met in an efficient manner
• Ensure guests requests are met in a timely manner and expectations are exceeded
• Keep accurate records and monitor all requests through Housekeeping, e.g. Lost Property, VIP rooms etc
• Delegate workload and assist with other departments requests
• Assist reception with requests when required e.g. cots & highchairs
• Maintains positive relations with other staff and management
• Maintain discipline and make recommendations as required
• Report any maintenance issues to Maintenance and follows up on outstanding issues
• This is a hands on role and requires manual handling of goods
• Quality checking of rooms in the absence of the Housekeeper
• Responsible for a neat, safe workplace for Housekeeping staff and guests
• Maintain all Housekeeping related equipment in working order
• Able to complete weekly turn cost / turns
• Assist with weekly rosters
• Order stock to meet par levels
• Employees must ensure they comply with Travel + Leisure’s OH&S Policy, procedures and any reasonable instruction given by Travel + Leisure.
• Employees must not wilfully place at risk the health and safety of themselves or any other persons in the workplace and to not wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided for health and safety
