Job summary

The Royal Sydney Golf Club in Rose Bay invites applications for a part-time housekeeping role. You will clean public areas and guest rooms, assist with event setup and pack-down, and support stores duties, delivering high standards of cleanliness.

Working 20–30 hours per week, shifts run weekdays and weekends 2:30pm–10:30pm. The role offers $29.41 per hour with weekend penalty rates, staff meals, wellbeing program, uniform, laundry allowance and staff discounts.

Qualifications

The Role:

Reporting to the Clubhouse Operations Manager you will be responsible for undertaking the cleaning of all public areas and accommodation rooms, event set up and pack down and stores duties in an efficient and professional manner.

This is a part-time role offering 20-30 hours per week, requiring availability to work shifts during the week and on weekends between 2:30pm starts to 10:30pm finishes.

Key tasks include:

Housekeeping

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene across guest rooms and public areas (lobby, lifts, stairways, toliets).
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support the events team with setup, bump-in/bump-out, and pack-down of functions.
• Deliver linen, towels, and rollaway beds to rooms as needed.
• Ensure timely ordering and proper storage of stock in designated areas.
• Keep stock and storage areas secure; report discrepancies to the Clubhouse Operations Manager.
• Rotate perishable stock to prevent waste.
• Distribute stock as per requisitions or approved orders.
• Ensure safe delivery of stock; report any damage or losses.
• Assist in managing the garbage room and maintain the loading dock per Club protocols.

What does the Club need from me?

• Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning or other similar role gained within a quality hotel environment is essential.

• Experience with use of chemical and commercial cleaning equipment.
