Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will work within a supportive team to ensure patient rooms, wards, bathrooms and common areas meet high cleanliness standards while adhering to infection prevention guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning or environmental services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain patient rooms, wards, bathrooms and common areas to a high standard.
• Perform vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising and general housekeeping duties across the hospital.
• Clean clinical and non-clinical areas in accordance with hospital requirements.
• Make and change patient beds as required.
• Remove rubbish and waste safely in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Safely use cleaning equipment, products and chemicals.

Join the dedicated Environmental Services team at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital as a Part-Time Housekeeping Assistant, helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors and staff.

As part of our housekeeping team, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the hospital. You will work within a supportive team environment to ensure patient rooms, wards, bathrooms, common areas and other designated spaces are maintained to a high standard. Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain patient rooms, wards, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas to a high standard.
• Perform vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising and general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital.
• Clean clinical and non-clinical areas in accordance with hospital requirements.
• Make and change patient beds as required.
• Remove rubbish and waste safely and efficiently in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Safely use cleaning equipment, products and chemicals.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies as required.
• Follow Infection Prevention and Control and Environmental Services procedures at all times.
• Maintain a safe, clean and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients, visitors and hospital staff.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily cleaning objectives.
• Follow Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Undertake other housekeeping duties as required.

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning or environmental services is desirable.
