Job summary

Albury Wodonga Private Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant to support our domestic services across the hospital, including operating theatres, delivering the highest cleanliness standards. You will operate under supervision of the Hotel Services Manager, working with the team to ensure quality patient care and adherence to care values and Ramsay Health Care guidelines.

The role emphasises teamwork, attention to detail and exceptional customer service in a busy hospital

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres.
• Ensuring equipment on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored properly.
• Performing laundry services, including washing, folding and transporting laundered goods.
• Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times.
• Maintaining communication with nursing staff and other stakeholders to achieve quality clinical outcomes.

Job description

We are seeking Environmental Services Assistant to work across our domestic services at Albury Wodonga Private Hospital. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness specifically to our operating theatres department.

Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres
• Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas
• Performing laundry services, including washing, folding and transporting laundered goods where required
• Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
• Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved

Skills and Experience

The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

• Previous experience in a hospital environment but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
• Compliance with HACCP, Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control
• Have experience in cleaning services
• Be a team player and love to work within a large team
