Job summary

Quest Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic housekeeper to join our team in Sydney's southwest. You will service guest apartments and common areas, ensuring every space reflects Quest standards of comfort and cleanliness.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays. You will be part of a close-knit team, delivering a high standard of guest experience and support for extended-stay travellers and leisure guests alike.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel or accommodation housekeeping experience is highly regarded.
• A highly organised, efficient approach and a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and good communication skills.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Service and clean guest apartments to Quest brand standards, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas.
• Make beds, change linen, dust, vacuum and mop, and replenish guest amenities such as towels, toiletries and kitchen supplies.
• Clean and sanitise bathrooms and kitchens to strict hygiene standards.
• Complete departure cleans, deep cleans and scheduled cyclical tasks.
• Clean and maintain all common areas of the property, including the lobby and reception, entrances, corridors, lifts and stairwells.
• Clean and present shared guest facilities, including the guest laundry, gym, meeting room.
• Keep public toilets, back-of-house areas, linen rooms, cleaners’ cupboards and bin rooms clean, tidy and well organised.
• Maintain car park entry points, lift lobbies and building entrances so the property makes a great first impression.
• Carry out periodic tasks such as carpet cleaning, window and glass cleaning, and spot cleaning of walls and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for extra amenities or services.
• Report maintenance issues, damage or lost property to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Follow all WHS procedures, including safe manual handling and correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with other housekeeping duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

Please note this is a physical role. It involves standing, bending and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying linen and rubbish, and using equipment such as commercial vacuums and carpet cleaners. You’ll need to be physically fit and able to lift up to 10kg safely.
