Job summary

Infinite Aged Care is seeking a hands-on kitchen assistant to support food preparation, plating and meal service in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. You will work with our Chef Manager and Hotel Services Team to deliver high-quality meals that enhance residents’ daily lives.

You will follow food safety guidelines, assist with dietary needs, maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, and help set up and reset dining rooms for each service.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience (or a strong interest in developing these skills).
• Strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Reliable, adaptable team players who thrive in a busy kitchen environment.
• Availability to support a variety of shifts.

• Work as part of a supportive, fast moving team.

This role is a physical & fast paced with a lot of variety, you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents.

About You

• Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience (or a strong interest in developing these skills).
• Students completing or planning Commercial Cookery studies who want to build practical, hands on skills that directly support their training.
• Strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail skills.
• Reliable, adaptable team players who thrive in a busy kitchen environment and have the availability to support a variety of shifts.

NOT suitable for candidates studying personal care or nursing, as training and development focus exclusively on commercial cookery and kitchen operations.
