YHA Australia is seeking a collaborative Live-in Property Manager to lead YHA Thredbo, an eco-friendly lodge at the base of the mountains. Accommodation is provided on-site, ideal for someone who loves the outdoors and sustainable hospitality.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, guest experiences and a small, passionate team, while ensuring our values of collaboration, care for people and planet, and continuous evolution guide decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in hotels or accommodation.
• Budget management experience for similar properties.
• Creative, evolving leadership embracing local culture.
• Knowledge of local environment and economy beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team of up to 5 staff on-site.

About the role

We are looking for a collaborative and inspiring Live-in Property Manager to take the lead of in this great Eco property. Accommodation onsite provided. Would suit a Manager who loves the environment and outdoor adventures.

You'll not only manage a property, you'll shape a destination and inspire a team whist delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will get to collaborate with our national network of over 20 properties. You won't just be running a hostel, you'll be shaping a destination through:

• Inspiring and developing your team. Recruiting, mentoring and coaching a passionate, motivated small team of up to 5, creating a culture where people want to work and build a career in hospitality
• Managing budgets and controlling costs to maximise profitability and efficiency without compromising our guest or team experience
• Collaborating with our support offices to align marketing, partnerships and promotions of the property are strategically aligned with our values and growth plans
• Driving operational excellence whilst creating an environment where the curious come to connect with local and genuine experiences
• Ensuring our compliance and quality control remain of the highest standards whilst supporting our inclusive, sustainable practices
• Maintaining relationships with local community groups and businesses

What are we looking for

• Proven successful leadership in hotels or the accommodation industry as General Manager, Hotel Manager or similar
• Passion for being creative and thinking differently and embracing local culture and offerings
• Financial acumen and budget management experience with a similar style accommodation property
• An advocate for change and constant evolution to ensure best practice and innovative leadership
• Knowledge and respect for the local environment and economy
