Job summary

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support the Maintenance department on a full-time basis. You will help coordinate maintenance across the property and lead two Maintenance Officers, ensuring a proactive, safety-conscious approach.

Shift details include Monday to Friday, 6:30am start (flexible for the right candidate) with afterhours on-site calls as required. A trade qualification and strong communication skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Experience supervising or supporting team members within a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• A relevant trade or building qualification will be highly regarded.
• Experience liaising and coordinating with Contractors.
• Sound MS Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and Word documents).
• A passion for delivering exceptional, pro-active service.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with impeccable presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading and executing the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
• Assist in supervising a team of two Maintenance Officers
• Provide hands-on support by performing repairs and maintenance as required across the property.
• Supervise and support key service areas including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
• Always Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practices.
• Assist with stock control and supplier coordination to maintain efficient operations.
• Support in preparing quotes and scheduling maintenance tasks, including minor Capex works.
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager to support the recruitment and development of the Maintenance team.
