Job summary

Minor Hotels’ Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and oversee maintenance across the property on a full-time basis. The role involves leading a small team, implementing preventative maintenance, ensuring WHS compliance, coordinating with contractors, and supporting the Hotel Manager in developing the maintenance staff.

You will work Monday to Friday with early starts and afterhours on an ad hoc basis, contributing to a safe, well-maintained

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Experience supervising or supporting a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• A relevant trade or building qualification will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance across the property.
• Supervise a small team of Maintenance Officers and provide hands-on repairs as needed.
• Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programmes to maintain optimal property performance.
• Contribute to electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security, hydraulic, and contract works oversight.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practices.
• Assist with stock control, supplier coordination, quotes and scheduling of tasks including minor Capex works.
• Collaborate with the Hotel Manager on recruitment and development of the Maintenance team.
