Job summary

Minor Hotels’ Avani Living Queen's Wharf Residences in Brisbane is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our maintenance team on a full-time basis. You will ensure presentation, functionality, and safety across guest rooms, public areas, and facilities.

You will undertake general repairs, support preventative maintenance, conduct room inspections, supervise contractors, and keep accurate work records.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in a hotel or property setting.
• Strong teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Good time management and scheduling abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and guest service mindset.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day roster, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general property repairs and maintenance as required.
• Assist in the execution of the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Provide induction and supervision of external contractors as required.
• Maintain accurate daily work records and service schedules.
• Support the Maintenance Manager in managing contractor works and maintenance projects.
