Job summary

Journey Beyond is seeking an experienced Handyperson to maintain the Monarto Safari Resort's hotel and lodge facilities. You will perform minor maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks to keep the site safe, functional, and presentable, with duties that may extend outside normal hours on a roster.

The role requires punctuality, a proactive attitude, and ability to interact with guests. Prior trade qualifications and hospitality experience are advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications are advantageous but not required.
• Hospitality experience is advantageous but not required.
• Hands-on building and facility maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise maintenance requests to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide minor maintenance and repair to hotel & lodge infrastructure.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to keep hotel & lodge at a high standard.
• Maintain tidiness and presentation of hotel & lodge.
• Respond quickly to leaks, breakages and other items not functioning.
• Conduct pool testing/servicing.
• Carry out tasks with minimal impact on guest experience.
• Carry out tasks independently where required.
