Job summary

Journey Beyond is seeking an experienced Handyperson to maintain hotel and lodge facilities, ensuring safety and ongoing functionality. The role involves minor repairs, day-to-day troubleshooting, and responding to issues, with a roster that may include evenings and weekends.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer/Maintenance Manager, you should be punctual, motivated, and well organized. A drivers license is required; trade qualifications and hospitality background are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications and hospitality experience are advantageous, but not essential.
• Previous experience in building and facility maintenance is preferred.
• Well presented as this role requires guest interaction.
• Holds current drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise maintenance requests to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide minor maintenance and repair to hotel & lodge infrastructure and buildings.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to keep the hotel & lodge at a high standard.
• Maintain tidiness and presentation of hotel & lodge.
• Respond quickly and professionally to reports of leaks, breakages, and other items not functioning.
• Conduct pool testing/servicing.
• Carry out tasks with minimal impact on guest experience.
• Carry out tasks independently where required.
