Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Convention Centre on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a motivated Hotel Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting the numbers behind a busy resort.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across day-to-day accounting, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations and reporting while collaborating with hotel operations to uphold strong financial practices and controls.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the hotel.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in developing your career.
• Previous hotel or hospitality finance experience is advantageous.
• Experience with Opera Cloud, Zambion, Purchase Plus, Micros Symphony or Sun Cloud is advantageous.

Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Hotel Accountant to join our Finance team.

You’ll become an integral part of the hotel’s Finance function, gaining hands-on experience across the numbers behind a busy resort while working closely with teams across the property.

This is a varied role suited to an accountant who enjoys being involved in the detail, building strong relationships and understanding how Finance supports the wider hotel operation.
