Job summary

Accor is seeking a Hotel Accountant to join the Shared Services team in Melbourne. You will lead end-of-month close, reporting and balance sheet reconciliation for a cluster of properties within the Accor Apartments & Realty portfolio.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years in a similar role, tertiary accounting qualifications, and strong attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance or Commerce CA or CPA qualifications is a plus.
• Proven track record and strong understanding of management accounting.
• Excellent written and oral communication across a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure within tight time frames.
• A can do attitude.

Responsibilities

• End of month preparation, review & reporting.
• Monthly/Annual - Financial report collation & distribution.
• Balance sheet preparation & maintainances.
• Monthly FBT data review, distribution, communication and full year report preparation.
• Monthly tax preparation and payments.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly forecasting preparation.
• Assist with internal audit control reviews.
• AR credit meeting attendance / aged debt maintenance.
• Assist in annual budgeting process.
• Support Area Finance & Property teams in daily/annual requirements when required.
