Solotel’s Goros Volume 2 in Surry Hills is seeking exceptional hosts to drive the ultimate guest experience, with quality cocktails, snacks, and lively karaoke.

As a Host you’ll set the tone from the moment guests arrive—welcoming, managing bookings and walk-ins, keeping the floor moving, and coordinating with floor and bar teams through a busy night. Qualifications

• Experience in hosting venues or front-of-house hospitality.
• Strong communication and guest service focus.
• Ability to read a room and adapt to peak hours.

Goros Volume 2 is a Japanese drinking house for Surry Hills, grown up and reimagined. Quality cocktails, Japanese snacks, vinyl DJs, karaoke and accidental dancefloors

This is the next chapter of Goros – more grown-up, still unmistakably Japanese, still full of energy. Better drinks, vinyl music with a point of view, karaoke done properly. Warm pine and moody lighting.

The Role

As a Host, you’ll set the tone for every night at Goros—bringing warmth, personality and energy from the moment guests walk through the door. You’ll read the room as it shifts from early drinks and Japanese snacks to vinyl, karaoke and a packed late-night dancefloor.

You’ll welcome guests, manage bookings and walk‑ins, keep the flow of the venue moving, manage the karaoke room and make sure every arrival feels looked after. Working closely with the floor and bar teams, you’ll help create a seamless guest experience even when the venue is at full pace.

We’re looking for a natural people person with a genuine love of hospitality—someone who can own the door, remember a face, read the crowd and bring the right energy to every interaction. You’ll be confident, organised and calm under pressure, with the personality to make people feel like they’ve arrived at exactly the right place.
