Job summary

IRT Kangara Waters in Belconnen, ACT, is seeking permanent part-time Hospitality Employees to support our residential care home. Shifts include Tue–Fri 07:00–14:30 and Sun 16:00–19:00, with responsibilities spanning meal prep, serving residents, and maintaining a clean, safe environment throughout the facility.

Ideal candidates bring empathy, strong customer service, and ideally experience in health or aged care.

Qualifications

• Empathetic approach and strong customer service skills.
• Experience in a health or aged care setting (desirable).
• Food Safety Supervision Certification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic meal preparation.
• Deliver and serve meals to residents.
• Interact with residents and build meaningful relationships.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines.
• Assist with general cleaning of areas.

About the Role

We have exciting opportunities available for Hospitality Employees at our IRT Kangara Waters (Belconnen ACT) Residential Care Home.

We are looking for permanent part-time employees, working shifts across:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 0700 to 1430 and a short shift on Sundays from 1600 to 1900

Your work will include:

• Working with catering staff to assist with basic meal preparation
• Delivering and serving meals to our residents
• Interacting with residents and creating meaningful customer relationships
• Adhering to strict food safety guidelines
• Helping with various domestic duties such as cleaning of general areas

To Be Successful You Will Have

• A big heart – an empathetic approach and strong customer service skills
• Experience in a similar role in a health or aged care setting (desirable)
• Food Safety Supervision Certification (desirable)
