The program offers two 12-month rotations across clinical teams, including Acute Care Social Work and Drug and Alcohol Service, to build strong foundations for your career in health social work.

Qualifications

• Must have completed or be eligible to complete the final semester of a Social Work degree and eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
• Knowledge of the social work role in the health system.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Local Health District.

Responsibilities

• Gain broad experience across diverse clinical settings through a two-year rotation program.
• Work within the Acute Care Social Work Team and the Drug and Alcohol Service during rotations.
• Develop a strong foundation for your future social work career within NBMLHD.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and patient care across NBMLHD.
