Job summary

East Metropolitan Health Service is seeking a Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team and deliver patient-centred Social Work services. You will support patient safety and quality of care while adhering to the Australian Social Work standards and EMHS policies.

The role emphasises assessment, treatment, and evaluation within a hospital/mental health context, with opportunities for professional development and flexible arrangements where available.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or the Society of Professional Social Workers.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Social Work practice.
• Demonstrated ability in applying time management and organisational skills within a designated caseload.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Current “C” or “C.A.” class drivers licence.
• Knowledge of quality improvement principles.
• Previous experience in a hospital or mental health related setting.
