North Metropolitan Health Service is seeking a Social Work Manager to lead a team of social workers across Nedlands and Stirling sites, shaping social work services in a complex hospital environment and contributing to service planning.
You will allocate staff, plan leave, drive performance development, promote clinical research, education, training and quality improvement, and collaborate with the Head of Department and partners to strengthen workforce capability and patient outcomes.
Are you a Social Work leader who combines advanced clinical expertise with a passion for developing people and services? Join Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group and play a key role in strengthening social work practice, workforce capability, research, and quality improvement within a dynamic tertiary and secondary healthcare environment. We have 2.6 FTE of permanent vacancies both full time and part time. We are a 7 day service and positions may require working across Nedlands and Stirling sites. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other “similar” vacancies throughout the health service or the wider public service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
As the Manager Social work, you will lead a team of social workers, manage allocation of team members to various clinical areas, plan leave cover, performance development and promote clinical research, education, training and quality improvement. You will collaborate with Head of Department and Deputy Heads of Department and relevant stakeholders to support social work service planning and delivery.
We are looking for an experienced and adaptable Social Work leader who can provide strategic and operational leadership, foster workforce capability, and strengthen partnerships across the health service. You will bring significant clinical and management experience together with a patient-centred approach, helping to shape responsive, sustainable and high-quality social work services. While your qualifications and experience tell us part of your story, your values and attitude speak louder still. At North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS), we aim to ensure our behaviours reflect our core values: Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity. During the selection process you will be assessed on your ability to fulfil the responsibilities of this position while upholding our values.
NMHS supports flexible working practices, and consideration will be given to flexible work options where operationally appropriate. In addition to the salary, our employees enjoy a range of benefits.
