Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a qualified social worker to deliver evidence-based psychosocial support to patients and families within a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to education, quality improvement and development of the Social Work service.

The role supports professional growth, with supervision and opportunities to mentor students and less experienced social workers, while managing a diverse caseload in an Australian public health setting.

Qualifications

• You have a Social Work degree and are eligible for AASW membership.
• Able to manage workload autonomously and collaborate across teams.
• Strong communication skills to advocate for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based social work to patients and families.
• Build clinical confidence and handle increasingly complex cases with supervision.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor students/less experienced social workers.
• Engage in education, quality improvement, and shaping Social Work practices.
