Job summary

St John of God Health Care is seeking Security Officers at Murdoch Hospital in Western Australia. You will provide a comprehensive security service, ensuring a safe environment for caregivers, patients, visitors and contractors while also managing traffic and parking across the site.

The role supports casual and permanent full-time rosters with 12-hour shifts and penalties under the Enterprise Agreement. Relevant licenses and first aid are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Security Officer and Security Monitoring Officer licences and a current First Aid Certificate.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CCTV, electronic access systems, fire panels and control room environments.
• Healthcare security experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence to maintain a safe hospital environment.
• Manage traffic and parking across the Murdoch site.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies promptly.
• Enforce security procedures and assist with escorts and patient transport.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
