Job summary

SA Health’s Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) – SA Pharmacy invites applications for AHA1/AHA2 pharmacy assistant roles at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide. Roles involve dispensing support, stock management and a strong focus on patient care within a busy hospital pharmacy.

Roles are temporary with possible progression to ongoing opportunities, offering salary from $67,979 p.a. (pro rata) plus superannuation and salary packaging, with a flexible work pattern across full-time

Qualifications

• No formal qualification is required for AHA1, but you must be eligible and willing to undertake relevant Certificate III or higher training.
• Progression to AHA2 is available after completing Certificate III or six months of continuous employment, subject to role requirements.
• Experience in a service environment and knowledge of pharmaceutical products are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe, reliable medication supply and stock management for patient care.
• Support dispensing, distribution and manufacturing-related tasks under supervision for AHA1.
• Contribute to inventory management, daily workload and training of colleagues for AHA2.
• Adhere to safe work procedures and protect patient confidentiality while handling medicines.
