Job summary

Downer is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Plumber to join our Health and Education team in Bendigo Hospital Precinct. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance across complex facilities, fault finding, repairs, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.

You will collaborate with hospital stakeholders and contractors, uphold the Zero Harm culture, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Registered Plumber qualification is required.
• Experience in building maintenance in large facilities is preferred.
• Strong faultfinding and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and OH&S requirements.
• Experience with TMV maintenance and hot water systems advantageous.
• Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preventative and reactive plumbing maintenance across Bendigo Hospital Precinct, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Respond to maintenance requests, faults and defect rectification while meeting service requirements.
• Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting and planned maintenance to support critical hospital infrastructure.
• Maintain records, manage spare parts and ensure timely documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and hospital stakeholders to plan maintenance activities safely.
• Champion Downer's Zero Harm culture by following health, safety, and quality requirements.
