Cairns Private Hospital is seeking a reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team on a part-time basis, 30 hours per week. You will support the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the hospital, helping ensure our facilities, equipment and surrounding areas remain safe, functional and well maintained.

Working collaboratively with hospital teams, you will assist with general repairs, preventative maintenance and a range of maintenance tasks that contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance or building services.
• Practical repair and basic building maintenance skills.
• Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and customer-focused approach.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe work practices.
• Flexibility to manage varied maintenance tasks.

Responsabilités

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and minor building works across the hospital.
• Complete routine inspections and assist with preventative maintenance.
• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritise by urgency and safety.
• Assist with repairs to fixtures, fittings, doors, walls and other components.
• Identify and report issues or defects.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas safely.
• Liaise with contractors and hospital departments.
• Follow WHS requirements and hospital policies.
• Maintain records of completed work and outstanding requests.
