Job summary

Aurora Healthcare in Sydney is seeking a dedicated Chef/Cook to join our Hospital Services team. You will prepare, cook, and serve nourishing in-house meals for patients, aligned with Food Safety Program guidelines, with a focus on quality presentation and timely delivery.

This casual role offers flexible hours across 7 days, working within a supportive healthcare environment. You will contribute to diet-specific meals prescribed by Dietitians and Clinical Care teams, maintain kitchen hygiene,

Qualifications

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent/ higher trade qualifications).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships within a team.
Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals in accordance with menu requirements and dietary guidelines.
Assist with the provision of specialised diets as prescribed by Dietitians, Speech Pathologists, and Clinical Care teams.
Ensure meals are presented to a high standard and delivered in a timely manner.
Maintain food safety, infection control, and kitchen hygiene standards in line with organisational policies.
Assist with stock control, ordering, and management of food supplies.
Contribute to a positive team culture through a proactive and collaborative approach.
