Job summary

Ramsay Clinic Macarthur in Campbelltown NSW is seeking a casual Chef to prepare and deliver high-quality meals for patients, staff and visitors. You will contribute to daily kitchen operations while upholding safety, hygiene and presentation standards.

You will work in a collaborative team, following menus and dietary requirements, with potential to move into permanent part-time. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and 3+ years’ chef experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen or similar environment.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation, safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus and dietary requirements, including allergen management.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead in a busy kitchen environment.
• Reliable, positive and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes and dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals meet high quality, taste and presentation standards.
• Assist with food preparation across kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and infection prevention procedures.
• Manage food handling, storage and temperature control.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and storage of supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and appropriately.
• Collaborate with Catering team to deliver meals on time.
• Support meals that meet patient dietary requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and focus on quality and service.
