Job summary

South West Healthcare’s Food Services team is seeking a motivated Catering Services Assistant at the Warrnambool campus. You’ll help deliver nutritious meals to patients, supporting recovery and wellbeing while serving in our cafs with a friendly, professional approach.

The role involves plating, serving, water service, trolley transport, stock replenishment, and cleaning of equipment. A rotating roster includes weekends; experience in café service and a food safety certificate is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team to deliver meals and service.
• Clear communication and time management for fast-paced rosters.
• Friendly, patient-focused and professional guest service.
• Willingness to rotate rosters, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plate, present, and serve meals with care.
• Provide patients with water and fluid jugs.
• Transport food trolleys safely and efficiently.
• Keep wards stocked with food and supplies.
• Wash and clean equipment used in food and beverage distribution.
• Serve in onsite cafés with friendly customer service.
