Job summary

Nepean Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Food Services Assistant to join our hospitality team on a casual basis. In this fast paced environment you will take pride in your work, have a friendly attitude and a commitment to patient and staff satisfaction.

You will assist in daily food preparation, deliver and collect patient trays, and help with kitchen cleaning. A proactive approach to food safety and good communication are essential to work well with staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or hospital environment (desirable).
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Commitment to service excellence.
• Strong communication and customer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly.
• Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays.
• Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.
• Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.
