Job summary

MQ Health Pty in Sydney is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to join the Hotel Services team at Macquarie University Hospital. It is a casual opportunity delivering meals and service to patients, staff and visitors, reporting to the Executive Chef and aligning with hospital HACCP standards.

You will prepare meals with presentation in mind, meet patient dietary needs, and support a collaborative team while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a catering assistant or similar food preparation role. Experience in a hospital is desirable.
• Strong Understanding of food hygiene and Cleanliness Standards
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual in duties and contributing to the team.
• Strong interpersonal and Communication skills
• Availability for Flexible shifts, with a preference for Saturdays and Sundays.

• $28.63 per hour plus 12% Superannuation and 25% Casual Loading , in line with the MQ Health Staff (Support Services) Enterprise Agreement.

The Role

We are currently seeking dynamic, efficient, and flexible Catering Assistant to join the Hotel Services team in delivering outstanding service to clients, staff and visitors.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be required to work within job specifications - meeting quality standards, communicate clearly, and be versatile in all facets of food preparation and service for our stakeholders in Macquarie University Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
