The Patient Services Officer provides efficient clerical services to the hospital. The role supports front line patient services and to be successful in this role, you will be willing to work in multiple areas of the hospital and thrive in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience liaising with internal and external clients
• Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality requirements in a hospital setting
• Effective decision making and ability to work in a busy environment

Responsibilities

• Switchboard and reception duties
• Assist in providing comprehensive administrative support
• Bookings and theatre lists
• Scheduling of appointments and clinics
• Data entry, scanning and filing
• Admitting and discharging patients
• Management of medical record files
