Job summary

Motion is an Australian-based engineering solutions provider serving the mining, manufacturing and construction industries. This role focuses on hydraulic hose assembly work, inventory support and quality assurance within a busy branch environment.

You will contribute to meeting customer deadlines, maintain equipment, and collaborate with the sales and operations teams to drive performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hydraulic or mechanical trade background preferred.
• Experience manufacturing hydraulic hose assemblies is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, remove, and/or install hydraulic hose assemblies to customer.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Pick, pack, and supply hydraulic hose, fittings and accessories per orders.
• Assist with inventory control and stock issue resolution to maintain integrity.
• Organise workflow to meet customer deadlines.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and tooling to ensure branch efficiency.
• Participate in meetings and support sales improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with supervisors, sales, operations and staff to meet objectives.
• Compile and maintain required paperwork and records.

Job description

What your day looks like?

• Manufacture, remove, and/or install hydraulic hose assemblies to customer.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Pick, pack, and supply all hydraulic hose, fitting and auxiliary products as per customer orders.
• Assist in the management of the inventory control, advise and action stock issues as they are found and ensure stock integrity is maintained.
• Organise workflow to meet customer deadlines.
• Assist with the maintenance of all equipment and tooling to keep branch efficiency as per the schedule.
• Participate in management meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, sales team, operations, and other staff members, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales and customer objectives are met.
• Compile and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

Who are you?

• Trade qualifications (Mechanical) as a Fitter, Turner & Machinist or Plant Mechanic w/ hydraulic experience preferred but not essential.
• Hydraulic or Mechanical background
• Experience manufacturing hydraulic hose assemblies
• Understanding the importance of accuracy and quality
