Job summary

LD Total is seeking a hands-on environmental role in Queensland to restore and enhance natural environments. You will work with project managers and environmental consultants on bush regeneration, revegetation, and habitat restoration, plus weed control and asset monitoring.

Ideal candidates have a qualification in horticulture or conservation, experience in ecological restoration, knowledge of Australian native species, a current Driver Licence and White Card.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Horticulture, Conservation & Ecosystem Management or related field.
• Experience in bush regeneration, revegetation or ecological restoration.
• Strong knowledge of Australian native plants and ecosystems.
• Current Driver Licence and White Card.
• Chemical accreditation is desirable but not essential.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with genuine biodiversity passion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bush regeneration and ecological restoration activities.
• Identify and manage native plants; assist revegetation planning and implementation.
• Weed identification, control and monitoring; habitat enhancement work.
• Maintenance and monitoring of environmental assets.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and environmental consultants.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role where you'll help restore and enhance natural environments while working alongside experienced project managers, environmental consultants and a passionate team. You'll be involved in:

• Bush regeneration and ecological restoration activities
• Native plant identification and management
• Revegetation planning and implementation
• Weed identification, control and monitoring
• Habitat enhancement and restoration work
• Maintenance and monitoring of environmental assets
• Collaboration with project managers, clients and environmental consultants

About You:

We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and is genuinely passionate about protecting and improving our natural environment. You'll ideally bring:

• A qualification in Horticulture, Conservation & Ecosystem Management or a related field
• Experience in bush regeneration, revegetation, ecological restoration or a similar environment
• Strong knowledge of Australian native plants and ecosystems
• A current Driver Licence and White Card
• Chemical accreditation (desirable but not essential)
• A practical, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
• A genuine passion for environmental restoration and biodiversity
