Job summary

Fresh Hope Communities is seeking a Homemaker at our Green Hills site in East Maitland, NSW. This casual role focuses on delivering high-quality hospitality services to ensure residents’ household servery areas are well set up and presented, creating a home-like dining experience and supportive environment.

You will work with Care Partners to meet hospitality goals, maintain household culture, and ensure meals are available at residents’ chosen times while prioritising safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality service delivery in residential settings.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in servery areas.
• Good communication and resident engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents are served at their selected mealtimes.
• Maintain orderly and safe servery processes and stock levels.
• Support residents in using self-service servery and kitchen facilities.
• Collaborate with Care Partners to achieve hospitality goals and household culture.
• Create a home-like mealtime experience with table setup, music, lighting and aromas.

We want the residents dining experience to feel home-like and for each individual to feel supported and engaged by you.

Your Contribution

• Ensuring food is provided to residents at their chosen mealtime
• Maintaining effective household servery processes with cleanliness and safety in mind
• Ensuring adequate stock levels of all self-service servery items, so residents can independently utilise the kitchen as desired
• Working with the Care Partners to deliver hospitality goals and maintain the desired household culture
• Ensuring mealtimes reflect a “home-like” experience through the staging of tables, set up of music and lighting, and the fragrant smells of freshly cooked food
• Engaging with residents during mealtime and if they choose too, support their involvement of setting up the dining experience, preparing meals and clean up
• Ensuring a thorough understanding of residents’ special diet needs and commitment to learning and implementing innovative, tasty, and varied ways to meet customer diet needs and preferences from the Chef team
• Proactively modelling the Fresh Hope Communities’ Values of kindness, connection, optimism and integrity in all interactions with the team, stakeholders, and external parties
