Job summary

Fresh Hope Communities seeks a Homemaker at Green Hills, East Maitland, NSW. You will deliver hospitality services to keep the residents' household servery well set up and presented, ensuring the dining experience feels home-like and that each resident feels supported and engaged.

This casual role involves meeting mealtime needs, maintaining clean servery processes, managing stock, and collaborating with Care Partners to achieve hospitality goals while upholding Fresh Hope's values of kindness

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality roles preferred.
• Ability to engage residents and deliver warm service.
• Knowledge of basic food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents are served at their chosen mealtimes.
• Maintain clean, safe household servery operations.
• Keep self-service servery stocked for resident use.
• Collaborate with Care Partners to meet hospitality goals.
• Create a home-like dining environment with tables, music, and aromas.
• Engage with residents during meals and assist with setup and cleanup.

As a Homemaker at our Green Hills site, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality hospitality services to ensure the residents household serveries are well set up and presented. We want the residents dining experience to feel home-like and for each individual to feel supported and engaged by you.

• Casual position
• Located in East Maitland, NSW

Your Contribution

You can support this individualised care model by:

• Ensuring food is provided to residents at their chosen mealtime
• Maintaining effective household servery processes with cleanliness and safety in mind
• Ensuring adequate stock levels of all self-service servery items, so residents can independently utilise the kitchen as desired
• Working with the Care Partners to deliver hospitality goals and maintain the desired household culture
• Ensuring mealtimes reflect a "home-like" experience through the staging of tables, set up of music and lighting, and the fragrant smells of freshly cooked food
• Engaging with residents during mealtime and if they choose too, support their involvement of setting up the dining experience, preparing meals and clean up
• Ensuring a thorough understanding of residents' special diet needs and commitment to learning and implementing innovative, tasty, and varied ways to meet customer diet needs and preferences from the Chef team
• Proactively modelling the Fresh Hope Communities' Values of kindness, connection, optimism and integrity in all interactions with the team, stakeholders, and external parties
