Fresh Hope Communities in East Maitland, NSW is hiring a Homemaker in a casual role. You will deliver high-quality hospitality services to keep residents' household servery areas well set up and presented, ensuring a home-like dining experience where each resident feels supported and engaged.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or care support is preferred.
• Ability to work with residents to create a home-like dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meals are provided to residents at their chosen mealtime.
• Maintain household servery processes with cleanliness and safety in mind.
• Keep stock levels of self-service servery items.
• Support Care Partners to deliver hospitality goals and household culture.
• Set up dining area with music and lighting to create a home-like mealtime.
• Engage with residents during mealtimes and assist with dining setup and cleanup.
• Understand residents' special diet needs and collaborate with Chef team.
• Model Fresh Hope Communities' values in all interactions.

As a Homemaker at our Green Hills site, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality hospitality services to ensure the residents household serveries are well set up and presented. We want the residents dining experience to feel home-like and for each individual to feel supported and engaged by you.

Your Contribution

You can support this individualised care model by:

• Ensuring food is provided to residents at their chosen mealtime
• Maintaining effective household servery processes with cleanliness and safety in mind
• Ensuring adequate stock levels of all self-service servery items, so residents can independently utilise the kitchen as desired
• Working with the Care Partners to deliver hospitality goals and maintain the desired household culture
• Ensuring mealtimes reflect a "home-like" experience through the staging of tables, set up of music and lighting, and the fragrant smells of freshly cooked food
• Engaging with residents during mealtime and if they choose too, support their involvement of setting up the dining experience, preparing meals and clean up
• Ensuring a thorough understanding of residents' special diet needs and commitment to learning and implementing innovative, tasty, and varied ways to meet customer diet needs and preferences from the Chef team
• Proactively modelling the Fresh Hope Communities' Values of kindness, connection, optimism and integrity in all interactions with the team, stakeholders, and external parties
