Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to provide eye care at patients' homes across the Essex region. You will drive to locations, dispense lenses at all levels, and deliver high-quality patient care in the community.

The role offers part-time hours (3 days per week: 9am-6pm), a pension, and perks through Specsavers Perks and WeCare programs, with competitive bonuses and paid birthday leave.

Qualifications

• Current or recent optical experience (6 months–1 year) and ability to dispense at all levels.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Dispensing lenses at all levels is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide eye care to patients in their homes as part of home visits.
• Drive to various locations within the Essex region as needed.
• Assist with dispensing lenses and delivering patient care remotely.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region covers the whole of Essex, but our ever-expanding team is scattered across the region so we will always aim to keep you as close to home as possible, although there may be times you will have to cover anywhere within the Essex region.

We can only consider candidates who hold a full UK driving licence and can confidently dispense lenses at all levels.

What we’re looking for?

• Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months-1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels
• You must hold a full UK driving licence
