Job summary

The Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ) invites applications for a Home Care Worker servicing the Sunshine Coast region. The role covers domestic assistance, meal preparation, cleaning, and personal care, with support for social and respite services.

A valid First Aid/CPR, Certificate III in Aged Care, and a current Australian driver’s license are required. Applicants should be available weekdays and/or weekends, willing to travel between client locations within the Sunshine Coast

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged, Individual Support is required.
• First Aid and CPR certification are required.
• Open Australian driver's license with nil restrictions.
• National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel across the Sunshine Coast region.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance including cleaning, meal preparation and laundry.
• Support with personal care, hygiene, social and respite care.
• Travel to client locations and work across the Sunshine Coast region.

Home Care Worker - Sunshine Coast Region

Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland - Sandstone Point QLD

Provide domestic assistance which may include dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, meal preparation, cleaning indoor windows, washing dishes, changing bed linen, clothes washing, ironing, cleaning bathrooms / toilets and cleaning inside fridges.

Candidates who have worked in a similar role within the aged care industry will be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Be available to work weekdays and/or weekends
• Be willing to work across the Sunshine Coast region
• Have the flexibility to travel to different client locations as required
• A valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• A Certificate III in Aged, Individual Support.
• A current Open Australian driver's license with nil restrictions
• Access to a roadworthy registered vehicle that is comprehensively insured for work purposes.
• A current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
• The ability to speak another language is desirable.
