Job summary

Care Connect is seeking motivated individuals to provide in-home care to Out of Hospital and Aged Care clients in Port Macquarie and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months paid experience in aged care or community care.
• Certificate III or Nursing qualification as stated above.
• Driver's licence with own reliable vehicle and insurance.
• Right to Work in Australia and background checks.
• First Aid and CPR certificates, plus COVID-19 vaccination requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal grooming and hygiene, including medication reminders.
• Perform domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
• Shop for groceries, plan meals and prepare nutritious meals.
• Assist mobility inside home and in local community.
• Maintain a caring attitude and prioritise client well-being.

Responsibilities of the Homecare Support Worker:

• Personal grooming and hygiene assistance including medication reminders
• Domestic duties including cleaning and laundry
• Food shopping, menu planning and meal preparation
• Mobility assistance within the home/local community
• Must possess strong care factor to prioritise client well-being

Requirements of the role:

• Right to Workin Australia
• Driver's licence and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid and CPR certificate
• Minimum of 3 COVID-19 vaccinations
• Certificate III (Aged Care/Individual Support OR Home and Community Care), OR Bach/Dip of Nursing (OR completed first-year study towards it)
• Minimum 3 months ofpaid experienceworking within the aged care or community care sector
• A fantastic attitude and genuine interest in helping others
