Job summary

My Guardian Group is expanding its care team in Charlton VIC and surrounding areas. We are building a pool of Home Care Workers to deliver personalized in-home care and support. You will be vetted and prioritized for immediate, regular hours as client rosters grow.

Key duties include companionship, helping with daily tasks, and arranging community activities and transport. Prior care experience and required certifications are valued, with flexible scheduling a core feature of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in care providing companionship and independence at home.
• Strong communication and ability to document care accurately.
• Must have First Aid & CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check or willingness to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Provide true companionship to clients and reduce isolation.

What You’ll Do

You won't just be checking boxes; you’ll be changing lives. Your day-to-day will focus on:

• True Companionship: Building real connections, reducing isolation, and supporting emotional wellbeing.
• Independence at Home: Personal Care, helping with light household duties, cleaning, laundry, and meal prep to keep homes safe and comfortable.
• Community Connection: Getting clients out and about—driving them to social activities, shopping, and vital appointments.

What You Bring to the Team

We value heart, reliability, and professionalism above all else. To set you up for success, you will need:

• Experience in Care: A solid background in domestic assistance, community transport, and supporting independent living.
• Great Communication: The ability to document care accurately and communicate effectively with families and coordinators.
• The Essentials: A valid First Aid & CPR Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check (or a willingness to obtain them quickly).
• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support is highly regarded but not mandatory if you have the right experience!
