Job summary

Silverchain Group is seeking a Care Worker to support older Australians in Redbank and surrounding areas. The role requires a genuine passion for high-quality care, a minimum of 3 months in a similar role, and a valid Australian driver’s licence with an insured vehicle.

You will perform domestic duties, assist with personal care and medications, and support mobility and daily activities. The position offers guaranteed hours, an award rate plus super, paid travel, and access to training programs

Qualifications

• At least 3 months experience in a similar role.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and insured vehicle.
• Experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.
• Assisting clients to take medications.
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs (e.g., dementia).
• Providing social and emotional support.
• Providing client transport to activities or appointments.
• Helping the family carer to have a break.

In Addition, You Will Need

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence andyour own insured, roadworthy vehicle
