Job summary

Silverchain Group is seeking a dedicated Home Care Worker in Kempsey to support older community members at home. You will perform housekeeping, meals, laundry and transport services, helping clients stay independent and connected with their daily activities.

This role offers guaranteed hours, an award rate and benefits, plus opportunities for training and career development in a supportive not-for-profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Open class Australian Driver's Licence and own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Interest in community care or aged care (experience preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.

• Don’t sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

In Addition, You Will Need
