Job summary

Healthcare Australia is seeking Home Care Support Workers to assist elderly clients living at home in the North West Sydney area, promoting independence and choice. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred support while adhering to organisational policies and safety standards.

The role offers flexible hours, opportunities for training, and shifts across Wollongong area suburbs, with mileage paid between client locations.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting the elderly with a caring, person-centred approach.
• Current Cert III in a relevant field is highly desirable.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates are required or willing to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Assist with domestic duties and household chores (washing, ironing, vacuuming, dusting).
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
• Provide social support and encourage engagement in social activities.

About The Role

As a Home Care Support Worker, you will be required to provide assistance to elderly clients living at home, through the promotion of independence and choice. You will deliver high quality assistance to clients using a person-centred approach. A successful candidate will maintain compliance of standards, adhere to organisational policies and procedures whilst promoting the core values of Healthcare Australia.

• Assisting with domestic duties and household chores including washing, ironing, vacuuming, dusting
• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of meals
• Assisting with social support and encouraging engagement in social activities

To be considered

• Experience supporting the elderly with Cert III in relevant field is highly desirable
• Valid Full NSW Driver's Licence
• Reliable vehicle to transport between customer locations (KM's are paid)
• Current accredited First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
