Job summary

Healthcare Australia in New South Wales seeks compassionate Home Care Support Workers to assist elderly clients in their own homes across Armidale and nearby areas. You will help with daily living, domestic tasks, meal prep, personal care and transport to social activities.

Candidates with a Cert III in Individual Support are preferred; a valid Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle are required. Police check within six months, First Aid/ CPR, and a willingness to obtain insurance for

About you

We are seeking kind, patient, empathetic individuals to join our Home Care Support Worker team for the following areas: Wandsworth, Bunuarra, Invergowrie, Hillgrove, Samarez Ponds, Castle Doyle and Walcha NSW.

The successful applicant understands that their ability to be consistent in their shifts has a huge impact on their clients, who have spent their lives contributing to our community.

Successful applicant will take pride and joy in giving back to the elderly of our community by assisting with Domestic and Social Support Work including cleaning, cooking, transporting and accompanying/assisting clients to social events and appointments as well as by providing support with Personal Care tasks if qualified.

About The Role

Successful applicants will be working with our elderly customers with the goal to help them remain in their own homes for as long as possible and live a fulfilling life independently. Support may include assistance with Daily living, such as domestic support, meal preparations, personal care, and/or community access and participation.

To be considered

• Experience supporting the elderly
• Cert III + Personal Support Qualification desirable
• 6+ Months sector experience desirable but not essential
• Valid AU Drivers Licence, either Green P Plates or Full License
• Must have reliable vehicle to transport between customer locations and have or be willing to obtain full comprehensive insurance (KM's are paid)
• Be able to supply a Police Check no older than six months
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
