Job summary

Healthcare Australia is seeking a Home Care Support Worker to provide compassionate in-home assistance to elderly clients on the Central Coast North area. You will help with daily living, meal prep, light cleaning and social support, enabling clients to remain independent at home.

Applicants should have experience with the elderly, a valid AU driver's licence, and be willing to obtain a Police Check, First Aid and CPR certificates. Shifts Monday to Friday 9am–5pm may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting the elderly.
• Cert III in Aged Care or related is desirable.
• 6+ months sector experience.
• Valid AU Driver's Licence (Green P Plates or full).
• Police check no older than 6 months.
• Current First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain).
• Willingness to work shifts in Port Macquarie is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks and domestic duties.
• Prepare meals and assist with personal care.
• Provide social support and transport clients to appointments.
• Support clients to remain in their own homes.

About you
We are seeking kind, patient, empathetic individuals to join our Home Care Support Worker team in the Watanobbi, Hamlyn Terrace, Toukley, Blue Haven and nearby areas that make up Central Coast North.
The successful applicant understands that their ability to be consistent in their shifts has a huge impact on their clients, who have spent their lives contributing to our community.
Applicants with a Personal Support Worker level qualification (PSW/AIN), who can aid clients with their Activities of Daily Living such as feeds, showering and toileting will be looked on favourably.
We also have opportunities for those who take pride and joy in giving back to the elderly of our community by assisting with Personal Care, Domestic and Social Support Work including cleaning, cooking, transporting and accompanying/assisting clients to social events and appointments.

Are you available to pick up Monday-Friday shifts between 9am and 5pm?

About The Role

Successful applicants will be working with our elderly customers with the goal to help them remain in their own homes for as long as possible and live a fulfilling life independently. Support may include assistance with Daily living, such as domestic support, meal preparations, personal care, and/or community access and participation.

• Assisting with domestic duties and household chores including washing, ironing, vacuuming, dusting
• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of meals
• Assisting with social support and encouraging engagement in social activities
• Assisting with Personal care

To be considered

• Experience supporting the elderly
• Cert III + desirable
• 6+ Months sector experience
• Valid AU Drivers Licence, either Green P Plates or Full License
• Must have reliable vehicle to transport between customer locations and have or be willing to obtain full comprehensive insurance (KM's are paid)
• Be able to supply a Police Check no older than six months
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Willingness to accept shifts in Port Macquarie desirable
