Warrington Care in Melbourne's inner east provides flexible casual home-care and personal support, focusing on private-pay clients. The role involves companionship, light housekeeping, personal care and mobility assistance, with client matching and respectful, person-centred service.

Casual shifts are offered across Melbourne’s inner east and inner south-east, with no guaranteed minimum hours, and scheduling as client needs grow. Training is provided for dementia support and care planning.

Formación

• Recognised qualification in aged care or related field.
• Demonstrated personal-care experience and client-centred approach.
• Current First Aid and CPR; police check and work rights.

Responsabilidades

• Provide companionship, social outings, shopping, transport and appointment support.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep and daily tasks.
• Deliver routine personal care including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Support mobility and safe daily routines; assist family as needed.
• Offer dementia-support activities and meaningful engagement as trained.
• Complete accurate shift notes and communicate with clients/families.

About Warrington Care

Warrington Care is a new, relationship-focused Melbourne provider of private-pay, non-clinical in-home care. We help people remain safe, independent and connected at home through dependable support, consistent carers and thoughtful client matching.

The role

• Companionship, social outings, shopping, transport and appointment support
• Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and everyday assistance
• Routine personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Mobility assistance, safe daily routines and family respite
• Routine non-clinical dementia support, including reassurance, familiar routines and social engagement, for appropriately assessed clients
• Accurate shift notes, incident reporting and clear communication with clients and families

Higher-needs non-clinical support is allocated only following individual assessment, task-specific competency checks and appropriate supervision. Nursing, complex clinical procedures and medication administration are not part of this role. Medication reminders are permitted only where authorised in the care plan.

Qualifications and experience

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), or another relevant recognised qualification
• Demonstrated personal-care experience and competency; respectful, reliable and person-centred approach
• Current First Aid and CPR; satisfactory National Police Check, references and work rights
• Good communication and shift-note skills; ability to use a smartphone and rostering apps
• Driver’s licence and appropriately insured vehicle where required for transport or travel between clients

Highly regarded: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), Certificate IV in Ageing Support, disability-support experience, safe-transfer training and higher-needs non-clinical support skills.

For dementia-support assignments: CHCAGE011 – Provide support to people living with dementia, or equivalent dementia-specific training, plus demonstrated practical competence. Additional screening or training may be required for particular assignments.

Casual employment and shift availability

Warrington Care is a new and growing private-pay home-care provider. Positions are offered on a casual basis, with shifts allocated as clients commence services and demand develops.

There are no guaranteed minimum hours, particularly during our initial establishment period. We welcome applicants seeking flexible casual work who understand that opportunities for shifts are expected to increase as our client base grows.

Warrington Care offers private-pay services only. Experience in disability or government-funded aged care is valued for possible future service development.
