Job summary

IRT is seeking kind-hearted Home Care Employees in the Milton/Ulladulla area to provide personalised care that promotes well-being, independence and engagement in activities aligned with health and happiness. You will help clients stay in their own homes with dignity and support.

Positions include Grade 3/4B-level roles, require a Certificate III in Ageing with 3 months’ experience, and may include varying weekday hours from 7am to 5pm. A medication certificate is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Ageing is required with at least 3 months home/aged care experience.
• Full driver’s licence and a fully insured car are required.
• Medication competency certificate is a nice to have.

About the Role

We are looking for kind-hearted and empathetic home care employees in the Milton/Ulladulla area that will provide support to our IRT home care customers by ensuring they receive personalised care that is tailored to promote their well-being, empower independence and engagement in preferred activities that are aligned with their health, happiness and interests.

Being a Homecare employee is about helping and assisting customers to maintain their independence and quality of life while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.

IRT have multiple permanent part time positions for entry-level candidates (Grade 1 Home Care Employees) and experienced Home Care Employees (Grade 2, 3, & 4B Home Care Employees) available.

For this role, we are looking for:

• Home Care Employee - Grade 3 or 4B - Located in the Milton/Ulladulla area.
• Certificate III in Ageing is needed with at least 3 months experience in Home care and/or Aged care
• Monday - Friday and some weekends. Hours vary between 7am - 5pm.
• Medication competency certificate (a nice to have)

Duties can include:

• Personal Care / Showering
• Cooking & Food Preparation
• Transports to Appointments and social engagements
• Providing Companionship
• Assistance to IRT customers to continue to live well and positively in their own home

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Full Driver's licence and a fully insured car
• Relevant Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Medication competency certificate (a nice to have)
• At least 3 months of professional Home Care/ Aged care experience
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR ( or willing to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - A Second Language is a bonus!
• Resilience and ability to work independently
• Available to work weekdays
• A big heart, empathy and a passion for supporting older Australians
