Job summary

IRT Australia in NSW is hiring kind-hearted Home Care Employees to support customers in the Peakhurst area, delivering personalised care that promotes independence, wellbeing and engagement in activities they love.

You will help with personal care, medication support, meal prep and transport to appointments, while contributing to a respectful, not-for-profit workplace that offers training, uniform and flexible weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Ageing is highly regarded but entry level applicants are welcome.
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR are preferred.
• Strong communication and compassionate interpersonal skills.

About the Role

We are looking for kind-hearted and empathetic home care employees in the Peakhurst area that will provide support to our IRT home care customers by ensuring they receive personalised care that is tailored to promote their well-being, empower independence and engagement in preferred activities that are aligned with their health, happiness and interests.

Being a Homecare employee is about helping and assisting customers to maintain their independence and quality of life while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.

For this role, we are looking for:

• Home Care Employee – All Grades - Located in the Peakhurst area.
• Certificate III or IV in Ageing is highly regarded but we also welcome entry level applicants!
• An accredited Medication Competency (a nice to have)
• Monday – Friday and some weekends. Hours vary between 7am - 7pm.

Duties can include:

• Personal Care/Showering
• Medication Assistance
• Cooking & Food Preparation
• Transports to Appointments and social engagements
• Providing Companionship
• Assistance to IRT customers to continue to live well and positively in their own home

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Full Driver's Licence and a fully insured car
• Relevant Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent is highly regardeded
• An accredited Medication Competency Certificate (a nice to have)
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR (or willing to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – A Second Language is a bonus!
• Resilience and ability to work independently
• Available to work weekdays
