Job summary

Auto & General (A&G) is seeking a Home Assessing Team Leader in Brisbane to guide a skilled team of assessors and coordinators delivering high-quality scopes and cost validation across end-to-end claims.

You'll coach, develop and motivate staff, manage performance, and ensure consistency with HR frameworks while driving service excellence, compliance, and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor and motivate a high performing team with accountability on results.
• Strong change-agility and exceptional time management skills.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Home Assessing or Building Industry (estimating and assessing experience essential).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and negotiation.
• Demonstrated experience building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Insurance experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire high-performance – monitor and drive service excellence and process adherence while demonstrating company values.
• Develop and support team success – provide guidance to enhance skills and evaluate performance, handle escalated claims.
• Coach and develop team capabilities – provide ongoing feedback on scoping accuracy, cost validation, compliance, and assessment techniques.
• Drive cost control and operational improvement – implement strategies to deliver outcomes to plan.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and provide constructive feedback.
• Track KPIs to ensure productivity and quality metrics meet internal expectations.
